ok, Security is something that I've always wanted to do and I do have a lil experience in it, I was a Search Steward at Blackburn Rovers for a season and I have covered a few shifts for a security guard at a previous job a few times(who was a good teacher really, but not a great guy tbh)
Now the problem is, I dont actually know where to stat, I've been through the sia site very throughly and cant find anything about 1st time starting, but tbh I'm not sure what I'm looking for on there. I've been through a few threads on here and they all seem to say to go for a DS lisence, because you can then do security guarding and Door Supervision both of which I'd love to do. So can anyone guide me on where to go etc, I live in Blackburn, England btw if that helps Thanks in advance |

Hi SCB,
I suggest you contact learn direct, they will be able to let you know what courses are available in your area. They can also help you with advice with regards to funding. 0800 100 900 Door Supervisor - learndirect*censored*Careers Advice Or ask someone you know with a Door Supervisors licence in your area where they did their training.
