A company I do some work with on and off are looking for some guards (1, maybe 2) for a permenant manned guarding job in North Shropshire.

Hours are 7 till 7; 12 hour shifts usualy 5 days from 7 with the poss of more if wanted! Pay is £6ph during probation and £6.25 thereafter.

A mix of day and night shifts available, but night more likely at the moment.

PM me for contact details if anyone is interested. They also have spaces in North Yorks and Perth - not sure of the details of these sites though.

Granted, Marcus;

But work is work. Not everyone is busily employed 5+ days a week, week in week out doing CP work.....so anything that keeps the bank manager and the tax man happy is good IMO. I'm certanly not too "proud" to do work that might be bellow my skill level if it keeps money coming in every now and then.......

........and; is this not the Security Guarding section of the Forum? This is a Security Guarding job; If its that demeaning why is the section here?

Are manned guards/security guards an embarrasment to those higher up the security ladder? Not IMO.

marcus i think your being a bit harsh with that
many newbies are finding it hard to get any kind of start and would be more than willing to take up a post such as this
remember we all had to start somewhere and the bottom line is earn about 1k a month doing this or get 240 a month from job seekers
just my 2 cents worth but i thought id add it
and thank you Rupert for posting this

Cheers; like I said and I guess many others feel; better to be earning something during down-time or when starting out, than sitting at home thinking oneself the Dogs Boll**s with no money coming in!

Hm, let me think, offer was posted in:

well it seems to me like security guard position posted in Security Guard Forums.

I think it's emarrAssing [and a bit arrogant] to post something like that about somebody's post [sent obviously with good intentions[ without checking [and spell checking] it first, but what do I know I'm just a "bouncer" and former security guard, nowhere as profeSSional as the rest of the "crew".

Marcus, may ask if you are gainfully employed in a CP role, If not it does not surprise me as you have not been wise by waying up your options before making a comment and a judgement.

All those in a CP/PSD role are meant to carryout a time, ground appreciation, this also goes for verbal decisions, shame on you at least an apology would have gone a lot furhter then none at all.

Scab will become famous soon enough
While I agree the reception of this job was a little harsh; for that pay I am inclined to agree overwhelmingly.

No security 'professional' earns £6.25 an hour no matter what the colour strip on the end of their license. I have bills to pay too, but for more than £6.25 an hour we can dig holes or do any number of jobs requiring no license or training.

And people say the security industry is getting more professional.
