Has anyone got any tips on a security guard interview at all?

one more question? does anyone know the limits on heigh and weight roughly and how intense the training is? i.e. bleep tests and so on

For an average security guard? None in this country (UK).. where are you?

David everything that has been said so far seems to cover all angles. The only thing I would add is to remember when asked how you would deal with someone who is aggressive/abusive,a lot of employers are not looking for how you would deal with it physically but in you showing that your first response would be to attempt to talk the situation down and if that does not work to take appropriate action.

phew, thanks for that [i]halomonkey i have had my telephone interview and the 'talk down' was my first reply - partly because it is was i would do rather that what i know!

as for hippyit is in the UK, but was told there maybe requirements and a bleep test would be taken.

David is this 'basic' position possibly for a building on the outskirts of Manchester? for if it is then I understand the bleep test requirement etc.

Good luck with your interview. Mainly be yourself and be honest, act professionally, always dress a level up for the position you are applying for (I read that somewhere ??) and show willingness to learn and adapt. Make sure shoes are polished, and not falling apart, someone once told me you can tell alot by a persons shoes.

well the interview went really really well (as far as im concerned!) and im awaiting the verdict, but id just like to post a BIG thank you for all the help and suggestions, there is no doubt this forum made the difference.
