I just saw this post on gumtree, please someone tell me they are joking. They are taking the proverbial too far...OMG numerous members have said this on the site never do work for free ever!!!!! Jesus Christ what is this world coming to......

Candidates must: *Hold SIA licence *Have proof of Right to Work in the UK, as per Home Office requirements, Passport required *Provide 10 year checkable work history *Provide 2 current reference *Provide 2 forms of I.D (statements & utility bills) Our offer: * 1 week trial period * Shadow an officer on the daily duties performed on site * Opportunity to travel within the UK, if desired * Option to work an 8 or 12 hours shift * Option of 4-5 shifts * Opportunity for a full time position As a trainee, not an employee, it will be at the discretion of the company whether you are paid; the idea of the scheme is to give the individual an insight to the industry and whether this is the type of security they wish to continue with. Should the individual choose to work full time with us they will be required to travel anywhere within the UK and stay away from home for an agreed time limit, on static sites. We offer: *Accommodation & Travel cost paid (site only) *Access Control Training *First Aid appointed person Training *Fire Marshall Awareness Training *CSCS Training & Test *Banksman Training *Full uniform *Hourly pay rate For those who wish to join the Security Industry we also provide Skills for Security Training course, NOCN level 2 Static & Patrol, which is a 5 day programme and will consist of an examination. We have 2 options for this course: Option 1 - we provide the necessary training at a cost of £130.00 plus £47.00 for the examination, payable prior to commencement of course. Option 2 - we fund the training and licensing on the basis that the individual works for us for a minimum of 12 months, travelling wherever needed within the UK. Sad to say mate this is the way of the future. I am sure we will see alot more of things like this in the coming weeks. Keep in mind alot of security have been out of work a long time. The market is FULL of security. Some high quality some not so high quality.

Mate I agree with you abusing the market is an understatement. it's "like okay let me sucker punch you while your down". If this trend turns out to be a success for one company imagine the impact this will have on the industry.
