Minimum three years of work experience from police, security, military or related field, one year supervisory experience, good working knowledge of English and Norwegian, good computer skills, and a valid driver’s license is required.

I was hoping that the enviroment on here would be a bit more international, instead of the standard 'britannia rule the way'...guess I was wrong.

If some people are willing to go to Iraq, why shouldn't someone be interested in going to work in Norway?

I'd love to go ! Beautiful country. Went out with a Norwegian girl in the UK for a while -
However, it does say " good working knowledge of English and Norwegian, " Of which , I don't and doubt many people do !

And I think you'll find most people would work anywhere if they were able .

Thanks for the original post mate, but I couldn't resist this to help others decide to apply or not!

A virile, middle aged Italian gentlemen named Guido was relaxing at his
favorite bar in Rome when he managed to attract a spectacular young blonde
woman. Things progressed to the point where he invited her back to his
apartment and, after some small talk, they retired to his bedroom where he
rattled her senseless.

After a pleasant interlude he asked with a smile, "So, you finish?" She
paused for a second, frowned, and replied, "No."

Surprised, Guido reached for her and the rattling resumed. This time she
thrashed about wildly and there were screams of passion. The sex finally
ends and, again, Guido smiles and asks, "You finish?"

Again, after a short pause, she returns his smile, cuddles closer to him and
softly says, "No."

Stunned, but damned if he was going to leave this woman unsatisfied, Guido
reaches for the woman yet again. Using the last of his strength, he barely
manages it, but they end together screaming, bucking, clawing and ripping
the bed sheets. Exhausted, Guido falls onto his back, gasping. Barely able
to turn his head, he looks into her eyes, smiles proudly and asked again,
"You finish?"

Barely able to speak, the beautiful blond whispers in his ear, "No, I
Norwegian.

Hahaha! Ok, I got it now...haven't been around brits for a while, takes some time to get used to the banter I guess. Apologies to Paddington for a bit of anger...

However, the position is well paid, and the current 'acting' supervisor speaks very little Norwegian at all. In addition, I thought it might interest other members from the scandinavian countries.

I hardly doubt that some of you would be deemed uninteresting for the position, even if your Norwegian is lousy, considering backgrounds and so on...

It would actually be cool to see what they would have said if some ex squaddie had applied..

I would love to take this on, unfortunately I am too young and lack the experience. I am fluent in Both English and Norwegian so I wouldn't have a problem.

I will however have my experience eventually.
