Hi all
new to this site, i am looing into doing a CP courses, who would you say are the best to walk straight into a job, have been in the ramc for 12 years, tours of afgan iraq etc med qualifications. the main problem i have thought about is i have a criminal record from 1997 would this prevent me from getting an sia licence. cheers |

What were you convicted of, if it is an Assault conviction the sia may turn down your application, but seeing as it is over 7 years since you were convicted the offence should be spent. It is worth contacting the SIA, or reading through their website for anything to do with Criminal convictions

Its normally 5 years from the end of your complete sentance you should be ok m8 stay safe ram out.

I was convicted for assualt and had to wait for the 5 years...the sia have a handbook / website which indicates what convictions take which time......
you should be ok though as its 1997.....dont be put off..you can appeal and enclose refs from the forces , local pillar's of the community etc etc |
