hi, i have just completed the iss advanced Surveillance course.... if you are considering taking a course in surveillance, i would definately recommend it! the course is quite intensive for the first week as there is a lot of info to take in, but it is well structured and both instructors have endless patience! even if i dont end up working in surveillance, im glad i did the course, it was great fun

Hi I have completed the week long ISS course with Pete, and I'm just off the Advanced Course that leads to the Level 3 qualification.

Excellent set up, top quality instructors and real time training scenarios, which included a counter Surveillance team up against us as well.

If your serious about learning a new skill set, or on a remind and revise training program ISS are the way to go.

Did they give an insight into the course you completed and its compatibility with any future sia legislation??

No work is offered, none asked for as I'm gainfully employed by HM Govt. Pete will help you out as much as he can though with 'leads' etc.

Pete is on the sia board for setting the standard for future legislation, so the course will be 'compatible' this was explained at the outset, best advice I can offer is ping him an email, but in my professional opinion you won't get a better training provider.

As I am the bloke that runs ISS Training, I can answer that one for you.

Yes we do give pointers in relation to the sia's requirements for licensing as it stands at the moment, which to be honest is still up in the air. We can only give information that is also duplicated on the SIA site as we get our information from them. We have no 'insider' information.

In regards to work possibilities, we have never promised anyone work after completing our Surveillance courses and we never will.

However, we do ‘talent scout’ for a number of investigation / security companies that often require surveillance operatives and we do provide students with a list of potential employers, which they are encouraged to get in touch with, we try our utmost to get students into work but do not promise it.

The reason why is simple: On a course of 8 students there will be different abilities and skill levels. Some will progress very fast and others not so. It is all down to having a natural aptitude for his type of work and being able to multi task at a very fast pace, some have it and others do not, but they will not find out until they have finished the course.

We have seen some other training providers promise all of their students with work after their course. This is total rubbish and a con in order to take your money and I say that from being in the commercial surveillance business for the past 18 years.

Like I said, we endeavour to place students into work but do not promise it.

I have just done a course with ISS and If it is an area that you are interested in I would highly recomend it.

They teach a variety of courses within the Surveillance industry and if I had the cash available Id be banging them out back to back.

Any questions you may have fire them to Pete he is very approachable and will help best he can.
