Police Level 2 Surveillance Course as per West Yorkshire Police Prospectus Date and Duration of Course This ten-day course is running 4 –15 February 2008 and 3 – 14 March 2008 Criteria The Level 2 surveillance course provides selected candidates with the knowledge and skills to perform covert surveillance duties, foot surveillance, or observations from a static observation point. This course does not cater for mobile surveillance. Aim To provide potential Level 2 surveillance operatives (Observation Post or Observation Team personnel) with the specialist skills commensurate to their role, namely dealing with relatively simple surveillance operations. Also make them capable of giving support to more complex surveillance operations and Level 1 teams by carrying out intelligence gathering, covert reconnaissance and operational development tasks. Content The Level 2 surveillance course provides selected candidates with the knowledge and skills to perform covert surveillance duties, surveillance logs, urban hides, RIPA, foot surveillance and observations from a static observation point. Cost Tuition only: £995 Residential: £1,415
