Good afternoon Surveillance Gurus!

Can anyone give me the name of a provider of portable covert surveillance systems to the police / military / surveillance companies etc. I'm after a couple of decent spec portable systems, but have drawn a blank on the internet. Basically I want a 'cased' system, where I pull up to a premises, whack a couple of covert cams into the building, withdraw and remotely monitor / record in a vehicle up to 500m away. Signal needs to be very strong due to the structure of the buildings concerned. Ta.

1. Build your own, you'll still have to get the hammer out to fix the shop-bought ones on site occasionally. You'll not easily be able to encrypt your outbound signal, always the suspicion someone will pick it up whilst fiddling with their TV satellite link, and you might not decide to go for telemetry (remote pan-tilt-zoom).

2. Sonic at Birmingham if you've just won the lottery: only occasional use of Thor's Magic Hammer.

Best compromise is probably mix and match identical components, then if one set goes down simple item replacement will define your fault and you will still have one or two full kits in use. You should be looking at getting the whole shebang into a sports holdall if you will have access to 230v power.

Try looking for GSM based cameras/receivers also, not as limited in the range as they use phone networks. But as NtoN has said, you're probably better building your own.
