Hi
Has anyone used the Dazzle software for editing video footage shot with a HDD Sony camera i just want to know if it puts the Time date stamp on for use as evidence etc. Its on the cam, transfers to TV Via AV leads but when burning disc through laptop wont time date stamp although its on the properties. Any other alternatives reccomended?? Cheers Amba |

HI,
The transfer of the DTG from mini dv or HDD onto disc can be problematic and encountered by lots of people. I have not used the dazzle and would like to know the answer myself. Some people use a pinnacle usb, others download free software which draws the DTG out. I am sure that there are similar threads about this subject on this forum. Good luck |

Hi
Dazzle didnt work for me with the HDD Cam. Another idea is to use the leads direct from cam into a TV with a DVD/Video recorder and record to disc or tape from that, from that for some reason it works and tranfers codec across but havent tried it with edited video yet. Amba |

The method described by Amba is the most simple and which I have used for some recent jobs, Have a look in Currys for a DVD/VHS recorder.

Info from another site, try the following dvd recorder which retains the DTG
Page Not Responding Another bit of kit is the EZDigimagic, used by some Police forces to transfer footage from a headcam which is on a SD card to DVD, again retains the DTG. regards |
